Kabi Nazrul College, established in 1985 and affiliated to the University of Burdwan is located in a socio-economically backward Murarai constituency in Birbhum district of West Bengal, India. This college, being the sole institute of higher education in the said constituency, has been playing since its very inception, the catalytic role in the educational, socio-economic and cultural development of the area which is mostly populated by the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class of people.
Within this short span of time we have achieved a lot and our college community is moving forward together with confidence, pride and enthusiasm. Primary aim of the establishment of this college was to provide opportunities of higher education to the under privileged. In addition to this goal we also motivate the students towards character building, leadership skill, extra and co-curricular activities. We have a very motivated, dedicated, strong and capable team of teachers who spare no pains to guide the students to achieve their desired goal. They have been the key force in the growth and development of the College.
Kabi Nazrul College has been working tirelessly to build a society where love, freedom, liberty, justice, equality and fraternity will prevail forever. We adhere to the rigorous academic commitment and discipline to inculcate the highest intellectual standards and nurture the original and creative thinking of young learners. We aim to train the young minds in such a manner that they will feel motivated to acquire every required competence and act with commitment, compassion and conscience. We hope our students will contribute to social change at regional, national and global level.
