Some words from Principal’s desk:
Kabi Nazrul College established in 1985 and affiliated to the University of Burdwan is located in a socio-economically backward Murarai area under the District of Birbhum in the Indian state of West Bengal. In spite of the infrastructural and other difficulties, the college being the sole institute of Higher Education, has been playing since its very inception, the catalytic role in the educational, socio-economic and cultural development of the area mostly populated by the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class people. Under the abled steering of the Governing Body, with the active cooperation of the teaching and non teaching staffs and students’ union, and with the erudite guidance and initiatives of Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college, various measures have been taken to improve upon the present academic and administrative atmosphere of the college. Ours is a college that emphasizes on both the scholastic and co-scholastic arenas to help the pupils achieve all round development and prove to be the better citizens of the nation. The institution works profoundly in spreading of education among women in this area. It is found that the majority of the students are female, though it is a co-educational college.
As a head of the institution, I feel really proud with this organization where we learn together, we dream together, we proceed towards a new sphere of knowledge. Last but not the least; we must say “Let us go together, speak together and be together in mind” (Rig Veda)
